Table Artists

I've assigned a famous artist to each of the art tables (3 tables at Dyer and 4 tables at Kaler). When I need to speak to the students about which tables are working really well or which tables have more cleaning up to do, I use the table artist’s name. For example: “Salvador Dali, you still have some paper to clean up on your table.” Or "Georgia O'Keefe, you all are working really well together." This technique doesn’t single out a particular student and it encourages all the students at the tables to work collaboratively. An added bonus is that the students become very familiar with these artists' names!

If you and your child are interested in learning more about these artists you can click on the links underneath the photos of the table artist cards.
