First Art Class

During the first art class we are discussing classroom expectations and making portfolios which will keep student artwork safe throughout the year.

I have also introduced the Red Caps of Awesomeness Challenge!

If a table of students is working quietly, respectfully, and responsibly, they earn a red cap. At the end of the class, all of the red caps get tallied together and the total is recorded on the class chart. Once a class earns 50 caps they get to have an Arty Party- Free choice art day. The first couple of classes seem to be very excited about this challenge. Hopefully it will be a success :)
