Crayon Hearts helped to benefit Preble Street Resource Center

Kuddos to all of the students at Dyer Elementary School who helped to make and organize the Crayon Heart Magnet Fundraiser for Preble Street last spring. We recycled buckets of tiny crayon pieces by peeling off the paper and melting the bits into heart shaped muffin tins. Magnets were then glued to the back. Students sold the hearts for $1 each at Dyer's Arty Party night and over $200 was raised and donated to Preble Street!

Dyer and Kaler will be making more crayon magnets to sell next spring to raise money for a yet-to-be-determined charity. If you have any crayons that are too small to use, please consider donating them to our project!
