Self-Portraits Continued

The students at Dyer and Kaler have been doing a wonderful job with drawing their self-portraits. They are really observing their reflections carefully and making great observations about the kinds of shapes, lines and letters that make up their facial features. Here are some photos of the progress from some of the classes:

Step 1: Draw head shape, facial features, neck/shoulders with pencil

Step 2: Outline best lines with a sharpie marker:

Step 3: Cut out 3 words that describe you from a list of Character Traits and glue anywhere on your self-portrait (except covering up your eyes, nose, mouth).

The kindergarteners were given 12 words to choose from
with a guide (show below, partially) to help them read which traits best described them.

Step 4: Paint on top of drawing with watercolor paint:

Stay tuned for photos of the finished self-portraits!
